Director of Planning and Community Development
EO is hiring a Director of Planning and Community Development to lead and manage planning and management activities for future EO programs, services, and facilities. This newly created role will report to the CEO and work closely with public-private partners, such as employers, governments, community and economic development organizations, and education institutions, to develop strategies to drive educational and economic opportunities that improve economic prosperity and quality of life. The Director of Planning and Community Development plays a critical role in EO’s strategic decision-making process and analyzes market trends, evaluates growth opportunities, and provides recommendations to the President and CEO.
School Coordinator, Education + Emerging Workforce
EO is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to join our team as the School Coordinator, Education + Emerging Workforce. In this role, you will be a part of the development and launch of Career Commons, a pioneering initiative that will revolutionize youth workforce development in our region. Career Commons will provide hands-on career learning experiences for youth of all ages, creating a unique and impactful approach to career exploration.
Shared Services Coordinator
The Shared Services Alliance is a collective group aimed at reducing costs and improving the operations of childcare providers in Southwest Virginia. The Shared Services Coordinator will oversee the procurement and distribution of materials and supplies in bulk to ensure cost savings for Shared Services Alliance (SSA) members. The Coordinator will monitor inventory, coordinate transportation/delivery schedules, track shipments, collect and analyze data to forecast requirements and provide business support services through the SSA.
Facility and Custodial Technician
The Facility and Custodial Technician, under general and limited supervision from the Facilities and Logistics Manager, will provide a clean, orderly, and safe environment for EO employees, tenants, and guests. The Technician performs custodial duties in and around the building and grounds and implements setup and takedown for a wide variety of campus and community events. The Technician resolves problems to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Front Desk Attendant
The Front Desk Attendant is responsible for representing EO to callers and visitors at the Regional Workforce and Child Development Hub, a brand-new facility located in Abingdon, VA. This role plays a critical customer service role, receiving all callers and visitors in a warm and friendly manner and listening carefully to fulfill their needs efficiently. The Attendant might assist with administrative tasks to support general office functions and provide support for EO meetings and events.
