Regional Internship Manager

The Regional Internship Manager will be part of a mission-driven team working to strengthen Virginia’s economy and shape the future of talent development in the Commonwealth. The Manager will be responsible for creating meaningful partnerships with employers, educational institutions, the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP), and other stakeholders across the region to increase employer awareness of and participation in quality paid internship programs and matching grants from the Innovative Internship Fund. Work is performed under the general supervision of the EO staff, but as a VEDP intermediary for Regions 1 and 2, EO’s Regional Internship Manager will have the same performance expectations as VEDP’s other Regional Internship Managers and will be included in VEDP communications related to the role. This is a highly mobile position and will require travel throughout the region as well as to VEDP’s Richmond office and in-state conferences.

The Regional Internship Manager will help companies in GO Virginia Regions 1 and 2 (Alleghany, Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, Bland, Botetourt, Buchanan, Campbell, Carroll, Craig, Dickenson, Floyd, Franklin, Giles, Grayson, Lee, Montgomery, Roanoke, Russell, Pulaski, Scott, Smyth, Tazewell, Washington, Wise, and Wythe Counties and the Cities of Bristol, Covington, Galax, Lynchburg, Norton, Radford, Roanoke, Salem) develop internship programs, connect with potential interns, and access the matching grant program. The Manager’s responsibilities include business outreach and engagement, internship program development and grant support, partner engagement and program promotion, and data tracking.

Career Discovery Camp Coordinator

EO is seeking Career Discovery Camp Coordinators for the 2026 camp season. Coordinators will work up to 30 hours per week. The camp training week is May 26-29. The Coordinator will participate in 24 hours of paid training during training week. The camp sessions are June 1-5, 8-12, 15-19, 22-26, July 6-10, 13-17. The Coordinator position is up to 30 hours per week during the camp sessions. The rate of pay for the Coordinator is $15.00/hour.  

Strong applicants will be energetic, creative, organized, and have experience working with elementary students, supporting at-risk students, and understanding how to help children with emotional problem-solving. The benefits of the position include:

Program Coordinator 

The part-time Program Coordinator will provide case management services for program participants in EO’s Workforce Innovation initiatives. The Coordinator provides services that create expanded learning opportunities for students and lead them to discover meaningful career opportunities. The Coordinator will focus on workforce development in the healthcare sector, connecting historically marginalized communities to high-quality, family-sustaining jobs, while improving critically needed healthcare infrastructure in the region, fostering long-term economic stability and growth.

Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator will help to develop, plan, implement, and coordinate EO's Ignite Internships program. The Coordinator will work with business leaders, educators, and community partners to develop partnerships that lead to expanded learning opportunities and meaningful career opportunities for all students.
