The EO Regional Workforce + Child Development Hub is conveniently located off I81 at exit 17 in Abingdon, Virginia. Our state-of-the-art facility includes modern amenities and technology, easy access to overnight accommodations, and a vibrant downtown scene, making the EO Regional Workforce + Child Development Hub the perfect venue for educational events, business meetings, and formal receptions!

Career Commons

Total capacity: approximately 500 banquet-style

The Career Commons is the primary event space for large gatherings, lectures, and conferences. It is highly adaptable to the needs of our community, with acoustics and technological provisions built into the design.

Ask about adding the lobby or the outdoor patio to your event for an additional charge.

Conference Rooms

Capacity per room: approximately 50 classroom-style and up to 100 theater-style

EO features three separate conference rooms for meetings. These are great for breakout events to accompany the large events hosted in the Career Commons. Each room has acoustics and technological provisions built into the design.

Training Lab 209

Total capacity: ranges from 6 – 10

This room is set up in a boardroom style with a large center table, perfect for smaller meetings. It is also great as a breakout room to accompany larger events hosted in Career Commons.

- Each rental rate includes setting up and breaking down the space to meet your needs.

- EO staff will be on-site for the duration of your event, 1.5 hours for set-up, and 1 hour for clean-up.

Feel free to customize your event by hiring:

- A permitted, insured caterer of your choice. Here is a list of approved caterers.

- Entertainment

- Event planner

Our facilities are open for events from 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM, Monday - Sunday.

Approximately 350 parking spaces are available on-site, with additional parking near the old Food City.

Before completing the Conference Room and Event Request Form, please review the EO Companies Facility Use Guidelines in their entirety and understand that by completing the form you acknowledge that you agree to abide by all guidelines.

Proof of insurance naming EO Companies as the additional insured may be required for events and must be submitted before the event can be confirmed. The insurance form must include the following statement:

“EO Companies, as well as its employees and agents, are named as additionally insured for the event date.”

It is agreed and understood that your organization will maintain general liability insurance coverage with a minimum limit of $1,000,000.00 per occurrence. This coverage will include your activities that will take place at EO Companies and include our employees and agents as insured. A certificate of insurance may be required upon request.
