Join the council and use your voice!
Our Family Council is designed for parents, caregivers, and guardians of children from birth to 5 years old to share valuable information about available childhood services. Families will have the opportunity to provide beneficial feedback to enhance services across the region.
Purpose
- Amplify family voice.
- Share valuable information about available resources and services for families.
- Address potential needs of family and childcare.
- Provide training opportunities on early childhood and advocacy topics.
What is expected of Family Council Members?
- Respectfully share the experiences and perspectives of your family and others you know.
- Participate in scheduled Council meetings.
- Build positive relationships and connections with other members of the Council and EO staff.
- Participate in EO Leadership Council events (when requested).
- Contribute ideas and suggestions to help improve families’ experiences in the early childhood community.
- Provide feedback on your experience as a Council member.
- Serve as an ambassador, championing and supporting families’ desires.
Compensation
Because we value YOU and YOUR time, you will be:
- provided with a stipend of $25 per hour for time spent in meetings.
- reimbursed for travel related to Council business at the federal mileage rate.
- reimbursed for childcare expenses when childcare is not provided at in-person meetings.
