EO Announces New Café Partner: Rendezvous Café Express
August 26, 2024
EO is proud to announce that it has partnered with Rendezvous International Café to offer an on-site café that will serve fresh juice, coffee, and sandwiches to visitors and staff at the Regional Workforce and Child Development Hub. The café will be open to the public, offering an added convenience for families dropping off kids or for teachers who are on site for fields trips and camps, in addition to the 100+ people that will work in the facility.
"After touring the new space, we knew we wanted to be a part of such an incredible resource,” explained owner, Mustafa Ahmed. “We have two established businesses in downtown Abingdon that will allow us to expand and support a quick-service cafe for EO employees, visitors, and the public. We are excited and grateful for this opportunity."
The café will be a smaller version of Rendezvous International Café, and will offer the same Lavazza brand coffees and freshly squeezed juices that locals love, as well as some new offerings like Chicken Parmesan paninis. The convenience factor will be big for busy families and staff, but RendezvousCaféExpress will also serve another important service, as Travis Staton, CEO and President explains.
“The Hub is a gathering place and community anchor, and this café is one more expression of that. Having a meal together brings people together. It’s a symbol of familiarity, a gesture that expresses welcome and honors relationships. I am very excited about this partnership, and we are looking forward to breaking bread with partners and friends in the coming months.”
The Regional Workforce and Child Development Hub is on track to open later this summer or early fall.
