ABINGDON, Va. – Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin on Thursday praised efforts to create a $25 million regional child care and workforce development hub as something that should be replicated elsewhere.
Youngkin and area lawmakers joined with regional business leaders for the formal groundbreaking ceremony of the Regional Workforce and Child Development Hub being established by the United Way of Southwest Virginia in the former Kmart location near I-81’s Exit 17 in Abingdon.
